PLANAR WAVEGUIDES PLCC stocks an assortment of glass waveguide layers that are useful as test platforms for MEMs, waveguide etching, spin-on-core layers, waveguide loss measurements, top-clad layer testing, and other non-critical applications to support process development. Glass layers are deposited on 100 mm x 1 mm thick silicon substrates. The nominal refractive index for the glass layers is 1.46, with thickness uniformity of ~ 3 fringes (0.6 µm).
